Corporal Anderson began his adventure in law enforcement after taking the Law Enforcement class at the Windham Regional Career Center. He has worked in numerous capacities in the Sheriff's Department, since 2004. He is a graduate of the Vermont Police Academy's 84th Full-time Basic for Police Professionals.
Corporal Anderson is currently working as a patrol supervisor. He is one of our Field Training Officers and is a Training Assistant at the Vermont Police Academy. Between these two tasks, he helps train new deputies for our agency and candidates for our agency and for the State of Vermont. He enjoys work in traffic safety and maintains certifications with RADAR, LIDAR, DUI enforcement, accident investigations and more. He is the first Deputy Sheriff in the State of Vermont to become a Drug Recognition Expert. He is a member of the Southern Vermont DUI Task Force. He serves as an Evidence Technician, a Non-Lethal Use of Force Instructor as well as being trained as an Emergency Services Dispatcher.
Corporal Anderson was previously a School Resource Officer at the Brattleboro Union High School District and worked as a Sexual Assault and Severe Child Abuse Investigator for the Southeastern Unit for Special Investigations (SUSI). He also designed this website and serves as the Webmaster.
Corporal Anderson is currently serving in the Massachusetts Air National Guard as a Staff Sergeant and is pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice.
