Woman arrested after driving with a suspended license :

Lenea B. Jacque, 25, of East Dover, was arrested Monday morning for driving with a suspended license. Jacque was stopped by the Windham County Sheriff's Department for speeding on Dover Road. She was arrested for the offense and cited to appear at the Windham District Court at a later date.

Motor Vehicle Accident in Putney :

On the afternoon of May 22, 2010, there was a single car motor vehicle accident on East Putney Brook Road in Putney, Vermont. The operator of the vehicle was airlifted to Dartmouth Hitchcock and deemed to be in critical condition. All though speed was one cause for the accident, other factors have not been ruled out and an investigation will be continued by the Windham County Sheriff's Department.

Burglary at the Putney Inn :

On the morning of May 18, 2010, the Putney Inn was found to have been burglarized. The burglary is believed to have occurred early morning of May 18, 2010. Among the items taken was an undisclosed amount of money, a Dell Inspiron 1535 Laptop, and a Digital Camera. Anyone who believes they may have information concerning this event is encouraged to contact Melissa Martin with the Windham County Sheriff's Department.

Man arrested for DUI :

On May 15th, 2010 at approximately 1620hrs, Roland V. Grybauskas, 59,was stopped for a motor vehicle violation on Rt 112 Jacksonville, and was found to have a blood alcohol content greater than the legal limit. Grybauskas was cited to appear at the Windham District Court June 1st, 2010, to answer to the charge of Driving Under the Influence.

Man arrested on a warrant :

On May 5, 2010, Ryan Matthews, 24, of Bellows Falls, VT, was stopped by the Windham County Sheriff's Department for speed in Putney, VT. Subsequent to the stop it was found that Matthews had an active warrant out of Rutland County, VT. Matthews was arrested, and taken to Windham District Court. Matthews was also given a Vermont Civil Violation Complaint for speed as well as for operating a motor vehicle without a valid drivers license.
